Some of the pets we make have already gone. If yours is one of them, we're sorry. We'd be glad to make them for you, and we'll take our time over it.
A memorial pet is your own cat or dog, made in 3D from your photos. Not a lookalike, and not a cartoon. The white sock stays a white sock. The grey around the muzzle stays grey. They live on your Mac desktop, in the corner where you work, and they're there each time you open the lid.
It won't be the same as having them. Nothing is. But for many people it helps to see a familiar shape nearby through an ordinary day.
How memorial orders work
You make your pet in our Mac app. Add their name, let us know they've passed away, and add the photos you have. Old, blurry photos are welcome. So are dark ones, and ones taken on a phone from years ago. Send what you have, and we do our best with it.
A few things are different for memorial pets:
- A person on our team checks every detail against your photos before delivery.
- They get gentler, quieter behaviours: sitting, napping, slow stretches. No comic or dramatic animations.
- They are never archived for inactivity. If you leave them for a while, they'll be there when you come back.
You see them in 3D before you pay anything, usually in about 5 to 8 minutes. Turn them around. Compare them with your photos. If something isn't right, ask for a change: two regenerations are included. Our guide to how a pet is made from photos explains the process in more detail.

Why it helps
Pets fill small spaces in a day. The spot by your feet. The weight on the end of the bed. The one who wandered in while you worked. When they go, those small spaces are what you notice.
A memorial pet keeps one of those spaces. They rest along the bottom of your screen, nap on top of a window, and sleep when you step away. They're quiet, and they don't ask anything of you. If a day is hard, you can hide them from the menu bar and bring them back when you're ready. Everything a desktop pet on a Mac does is there, in its gentler form.

We won't share stories here. Grief is private, and we'd rather say nothing than invent something. What we can tell you is what a memorial pet can do.

Seeing them in 3D is free. To keep them, it's $19 once. There's no subscription. It covers up to three Macs and two regenerations, and every behaviour we add later. If it doesn't look like them, you can ask for your money back within 14 days.
For memorial pets, we suggest Pet perfected at $49. An artist hand-checks and refines the model and markings within 48 hours. It's a suggestion, not a requirement: every memorial pet is checked by a person either way.
Your photos are used just to make your pet, deleted 30 days after delivery or sooner if you ask, and never used for training unless you opt in.

All I have are old or blurry photos of them. Can you still make them?
Yes. Old, blurry and dark photos are welcome. Send what you have, and we'll tell you what works and do our best with the rest. A person on our team checks the result against your photos before you see it.
