Privacy policy

You trust us with photos of your pet, sometimes of a pet who has died. This policy explains, plainly, what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how to have it deleted.

What we collect

Your email address, to sign you in and send transactional email.
The photos you upload, your pet's name, species and any note you add.
The 3D models we make from them.
Orders and entitlements. Card details go to our payment partner, never to us.
Macs you sign in: a name, model, macOS and app version, and when each was last seen.
Basic usage data to keep the service working. We never send photos, pet images or file names to analytics.

How we use your photos

Only to make and fix your pet. Original photos are deleted 30 days after your pet is delivered, or sooner if you ask. We never use them to train models unless you turn on "Help us improve with my photos", which is off by default.

Who processes data for us

Database and file storage providers (Postgres hosting and S3-compatible object storage).
GPU and 3D generation providers that turn photos into a model.
An image-understanding model, used to check uploaded photos.
Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, for checkout, tax and receipts.
An email provider for sign-in links and "your pet is ready" emails.
Product analytics and error monitoring.

Where a generation provider keeps copies, we ask it to delete them once your pet is made.

How long we keep things

Original photos: 30 days after delivery, unless you ask us to keep them for future regenerations.
Working files: 7 days.
Your 3D pets: while your account exists.
Order records: as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

From your account you can download everything we hold about you, delete your photos, or delete your account. Deletion reaches our storage and processors within 30 days. We design to the standards of the GDPR and UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act and the CCPA. Contact privacy@fetch.pet with any request.
