Use soft daylight: under a warm lamp the blue coat turns brown, and flash hides the silver tips. For the face photo, get close and at eye level so the green eyes are sharp. For the side photo, a standing cat shows the long legs and slim body better than a sleeping one.

Does it work for Russian Blue mixes?
Grey mixes, Korats, Chartreux and British Blues are built from their own photos.
What if my Russian Blue has unusual markings?
Faint ghost stripes, a white spot or darker tipping come from your pictures.
Will the blue-grey be accurate?
Daylight photos give the truest blue; a warm lamp turns it brown.
Why do my cat's eyes look yellow in photos?
Lighting and age both shift the green. Shoot in daylight and it matches what you see.
Does the silver tipping show?
