What makes a Bengal Cat look like yours
Bengals are known for their spots: rosettes with a dark outline and a lighter centre, or marble swirls that run along the body. The background can be brown, golden, silver, snow or charcoal, and many Bengals have a sheen on the coat called glitter.
The pattern is the whole point, and every Bengal's rosettes are placed differently. We map yours from your photos, so the spots on the model are the spots on your cat.

The best photos of your Bengal Cat
Rosettes need detail, so photograph close to a window in bright daylight with no flash. For the side view, a Bengal walking or standing on the floor shows the full pattern; take one from each side, because the spots are different. Glitter can read as glare in direct sun, so open shade is better. With snow Bengals, keep out of bright sun so the faint pattern does not wash out.

Questions
Does it work for Bengal mixes?
Yes, spotted mixes with some Bengal in them work the same as pedigree Bengals, since each is built from its own photos.
What if my Bengal cat has unusual markings?
Clouded rosettes, a sparse pattern, a snow coat with blue eyes or a charcoal mask come from your photos. Take a picture that shows the pattern clearly.
Should I photograph both sides of my Bengal?
Please do, because rosettes are never symmetrical. More angles help, and a photo of each side gives the model the full pattern.
Will the glitter show?
To be honest, glitter is a lighting effect and may not come through the way it does in the sun. The pattern and colour are what the photos give us most reliably, and you see the preview before paying anything.
